Lauren Turnbull

Hi, my name is Lauren Turnbull and I am a third year Film major. Along with working as an Eco-Rep, I also photograph for Pratt's volunteer program America Reads/Counts. I am interested in using the internet, television, film, photography, and animation to spread ideas about sustainability. Living in New England has instilled within me an appreciation of the natural world and the desire to protect it. I hope to be able to encourage sustainable practices at Pratt, while fostering a community of young artists interested in a greener future. If you have any questions or ideas please don't hesitate to email! I can be reached at lturnbul@pratt.edu.

Leah Gibbs-Gore

Hi! My name is Leah Gibbs-Gore and I'm from Denver, CO via Jersey City, NJ. I'm in my senior year as an Advertising/Art Direction major. Along with being a part of the EcoRep program here at Pratt, I also serve as Chair for Academic Concerns on the Student Government Association. I am also on the cross country team and a DJ for PrattRadio. I love to run outside, and moving to Colorado as a little kid helped me understand the importance of nature. Knowing how much trouble our environment is in but not really sure how to go about making a positive change, I wanted to educate myself in order to help educate others. I know that education is the first step, and I hope that we can make a difference in our world. I live in Willoughby, so please don't hesitate to contact me at lgibbsgo@pratt.edu.

My name is Heather Sisson and I was born in Warwick Rhode Island. I'm a third year illustration major. I'm interested in creating children books and possibly graphic novels. In my spare time I listen nightwish or opera and take photo's of all the posters in the subway with my camera phone. I became interested in sustainability after living in a dorm for a year and realizing how much energy and water people waste compared to what i'm used to at home. I am in hall council and can be contacted at hsisson@pratt.edu

Noah King - Advisor

Noah King is a 28 year old designer living in New Haven, CT. At Pratt Institute he works as a classroom instructor in the Industrial Design and Continuing Education departments. Additionally he works as a faculty advisor and community organizer within the office of sustainability, playing a key role in the Eco-reps program and the Envirolution Club. Back in New Haven he is the owner of Nourish Design, a sustainable design consultancy, where he provides consulting services to small, green businesses. In his free time Noah bikes around New England, cooks gourmet food with his girlfriend, Beth, and silk screens his own t-shirt designs. You are equally likely to find him playing speed chess at the local coffee shop, singing old school rap hits at Karaoke, or eating raw sea urchin at the sushi bar.

For many years Noah made earnest efforts to limit the footprint of his life. Reducing an individual's footprint is still something he is thinking about and supporting others to achieve, however, he has shifted his focus to community organizing and taking leadership.
