Rachel Feeser

My name is Rachel Feeser. I was born and raised in the farm country of Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. Moving to Brooklyn meant a lot of big changes for me, especially when it came to things such as garbage disposal, where to get food, what kind of food I eat, and what kind of outdoor activities I get the chance to participate in. Being in the Industrial Design program at Pratt has really given me an opportunity to learn a lot about sustainable and green design, which has made my education here a lot more satisfying, but I still wanted more ways to be active in my community. I began to take a great interest in not only sustainability in my work, but also in my daily life. This is my senior year at Pratt, and I am proud to be serving ELJ residence hall as their Eco-Rep. I hope that we can put ideas into actions this semester when it comes to issues such as recycling, water and energy conservation, and waste reduction as well as really get an idea of what are the concerns of the student body.

Svetlana Yachnaya

Svetlana Yachnaya is in her third undergraduate year, majoring in
Industrial Design. She makes toys and puppets, does yoga, and plays Irish
fiddle in her free time. Svetlana became interested in sustainability
after learning about current production methods and products in her
classes. She believes that sustainability should not merely exist in the
physical world, but should be social as well. She is the contact person for Pantas and you can reach her by e-mail at syachnay@pratt.edu.

Danielle Dirr

Danielle is a current Interior Design Undergrad Junior. She enjoys traveling to new places, athletics, the outdoors, and cooking. Her interest in sustainability started with her passion for overall well-being. From that, she became intriqued with all the harmful substances and toxics that are part of our everyday lives. Danielle has dedicated her Interior Design studies at Pratt to sustainability.

Adrielle Slaugh

Currently I service as Leadership Consultant for the Community Involvement and Leadership Board. I have been working with the Eco-Reps beginning in the summer of 2008 when I was one of the Co-Coordinators of our New Student Orientation and have continued to be actively involved with them throughout this semester. I am the contact person for the Willoughby 2-5 floors and you can contact me via email at aslaugh@pratt.edu if you have any questions.
